ABOUT

History

The Ketupat Pasar Party (KPP) was officially formed on the eve of Hari Raya Aidilfitri on 9th April 2024 under the visionary leadership of Mak.

The Party contested in the first Pilihan (Hari) Raya—Ketupat Elections in 2024, and has emerged as the elected winner in every election since.

Logo

The Party symbol is in the shape of a diamond ketupat pasar, with nine diamond grids.

An upward arrow is painted within the grids, symbolising the Party's vision of growth in tradition.

The Party's colours are purple and orange.

Purple represents tradition and wealth of experience.
Orange represents warmth and vitality.

The Party remains committed to serving the most rice ketupat for every Hari Raya celebration, making your Eids a rich tapestry of heritage and vitality.

Person

Mak has been weaving ketupat pasar since the late 1960s, a skill which she has learned from her father when she was still a little girl.

With her humble upbringing in the kampung, her six-decades of ketupat-weaving proves testament to her nearly lifelong dedication in keeping this bi-annual tradition alive.

With her wealth of experience, her mastery of the craft is evident in every election, consistently emerging as the elected winner.

She remains committed in serving the most ketupat pasar she can—for you.

Why are we giving back

Cikgu Funky

I actually voted and predicted Mak to win . #Ewahhhh

Malaysi Ana

I predicted Mak to win even though the Bawang party had a strong start...

DONATE

Your contribution ensures that we have leaves to weave in the Ketupat Election.

No leaves are too small

(actually there are because later cannot weave properly)
