Hi everyone!
I would like to give a quick update on our Kampung Sungei Durian Community Gallery and Muslim Prayer Space project, also known as #restoring6j !
Last August, we called and formed a committee of wonderful youth architects and researchers for the restoration of House 6J, and throughout September we engaged with the Ubin Orang Pulau community to gather their feedback and stories. In end September, we presented our findings and progress to the Friends of Ubin Network, and we were delighted to know that it had been received positively and given additional round of in-principle support.
Moving forward till the next FUN meeting in Q1 2024, our team will continue to refine our proposal, work on the costs estimates and further our engagement with the Ubin Orang Pulau community and other relevant entities. God Willing, if everything is greenlit by then, we could proceed into the next phase.
